These voices

We are in a similar revolution now.
How did we get here?
We taught a whole of our human kind
to farm
to write
to read
to speak
Long long ago.
Very basic now.

Ofcourse we can teach ourselves to be nice, kind and sensitive to others.
It will be basic soon.
To have open communication, without demeaning, aggression , ego, shame, judgement or bullying clouding our senses.
But for now it is change
And change is uncomfortable
Unfamiliar.

But this is a cultural reform we are living through.
And it is easier than witnessing and experiencing reforms for freedom
and many social evils before us.

So don't complain. If you haven't found a reason to join the voices, consider yourself fortunate
And teach yourself to be compassionate
to be curious of why others have a voice that you don't recognize.

You may think these conversations are not needed or are not your business or are frustrating
Would it then, not surprise you if I said, there were people who thought freedom was not needed.
Abolishing Sati Sahagamanam was not needed until 1829.
What's all the fuss about?
If you flung a widow into her husband's fire?
Basic it was.

Is there hope you ask?
Will it stay you ask?
Is it needed you ask?
I don't know
I don't see us tearing open a wild buffalo's flesh and chewing it in the wild today
You tell me.
